About Us

Cavalier Courier & Process Service specializes in private process service and also offers court filings, court record retrieval, and hand delivery. The firm is both licensed and insured, and general manager Eric Turnbaugh is an active member of the National Association of Professional Process Servers (NAPPS).

The company was founded in 1990 by C. Cragin Lynn. An ownership change in 2012 gave birth to a new company which officially began operating on January 1, 2013. At that time, Eric joined the staff as general manager. In June 2014, Cavalier’s main office moved to the historic Laurel Brigade Building in the heart of Old Town Leesburg. September 2015 saw the company procure a federal contract with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (since renewed). Three months later, Cavalier began work for another government agency, personally serving thousands of traffic summonses per month on their behalf. In April 2016, to support the firm’s rapidly expanding operations, Cavalier moved its main office to King Street in Leesburg.
